The easiest 4 Ingredient Nutella Cookies you will ever make.

Or really, not just 4 Ingredient Cookies. These will be THE BEST Nutella Cookies you’ve ever made. You can even compare these with 20 ingredient recipes. These will always win. Ha!

A couple of days ago, my father-in-law told me about an amazing cookie recipe that my sister-in-law had made.  He told me it was simple with just four ingredients, made a small batch (just about a dozen) and was ready in less than 15 minutes.

4 Ingredient Nutella Cookies? You got me there! It sounded like the perfect recipe for a family of two who love sweet treats.

Do you think you’d love a good Nutella Cookie? (hint, I do!)…

Nutella is one of those things that has people either 100% committed or not at all. You don’t just feel meh about Nutella. You love it or hate it. I’m sure you can guess where I stand!

I don’t know about you, but I think Nutella goes with everything!  Lather it on toast, pancakes, fruit, cupcakes…the options are endless!

Tonight I bring you a new Nutella idea (or well, new to me!). A simple, straightforward recipe for Nutella cookies!  They have just four simple ingredients that you surely have on hand and can whip together at any time.

The best part about this recipe is that the main ingredient IS Nutella, so it is what you taste most and what keeps the cookie soft and chewy.  Who needs flour in a recipe when Nutella holds the dough together perfectlyyyy! YUM!

Speaking of Nutella. Amazon has the best deal on it. It can get pricey, but I buy this one (the large size!) for only about $12. If I could subscribe to a monthly delivery I would! hahaha

We made these cookies last night and they were just as amazing as they were described to us.  This is a sweet treat that everyone is sure to enjoy.

As usual, I used my FAVORITE USA pan. I’ve raved about them before and I’ll do it again because they are truly the best! Nothing ever sticks to them. You don’t have to grease your pan or lay parchment paper on it. Simply bake on it and wipe clean with a paper towel or cloth when done.

They’re perfect for roasting veggies, or sheet pan dinners, too! Such a staple for every kitchen! I’ll never buy another sheet pan again (and I mean it!).

Add ins & Adjustments for an even better Nutella Cookie

Okay, this doesn’t need to be any better… but if you’re looking for a little extra pizzazz… look no further, I’ve got it for you.

My faaaavorite thing to do to these cookies is this: as soon as they are out of the oven, indent the middle with a spoon. Fill that indentation with Nutella. Boom, done. A great cookie is suddenly even better!

For a Nutella mocha cookie… Add 1/2 tsp. cocoa powder for extra chocolate flavor. And if you’d like, add 1/2 tsp. instant coffee powder to make it that deep mocha flavor.

You will ever so slightly taste the coffee and cocoa while the instant coffee gives it that rich flavor. A perfect addition for a coffee lover!

Add-ins…

Let’s vote down below which are the best add-ins:

~Nutella filled center

~M&Ms

~chocolate chips/white chocolate chips

~chopped hazelnuts

~Rolled in powdered sugar

Any other ideas? I’d love to hear them down below!

  1. Oh, these look so delicious! I bet they would be wonderful with a cup of coffee. I have never tried Nutella, but may need to now.

    1. Amazing! These cookies are absolutely perfect! I love how the ingredients just go so well! I tried other recipes for nutella cookies and this recipe is my favorite! I added pieces of chocolate on top as well! ❤

  2. wow this is so easy to make and just four ingredients! The cookies look already amazing! I’m so excited to make this and taste it. Thanks gurl for sharing this wonderful recipe with us!

These look absolutely delicious! And Nutella is one of my biggest weaknesses. I will give them a try this weekend!

    1. I tried using this recipe and making the cookies but the mix was all lumpy and I coulnt turn it into balls for the cookies because it kept falling apart. What should I do??

      1. Make sure that you use an extra large egg and that you measure the flour correctly. It sounds like your batter was too dry to hold together. Make sure when you measure your flour to use the spoon method to measure the 1/2 cup. And “fluff the flour” before measuring. Good luck!😁

  4. I made these and loved how chewy they are. I did add a few extra choc chunks on top, and so so amazing! Thanks for sharing!

      1. I was wondering if I could save the dough in the fridge or freezer? I made too much and wanted to make the rest in a week or two….

Please let me know !! :)

These sound amazing I love Nutella so I know they will be a big hit. I can not believe they are only 4 ingredients! I love a easy recipe.

Hi there, I’m also new to Nutella cookies, and these look amazing and came together very smoothly, but I just wanted to give a little feedback in case anyone was interested. I followed the recipe and the cookies came out looking perfect. They were nicely round with a crackly top. The flavor lacked something however. Maybe that’s to be expected because of the ingredients? Maybe it needed a pinch of salt to bring out the flavors? Maybe some shredded coconut to give some texture and flavor? I don’t know, but they are definitely not my favorite tasting cookie. They are also very oily. Not only while rolling and handling them raw, but even after they’re cooked, every time I touched one it left my fingers slippery. Otherwise, these are a decent, easy and quick cookie to make.

    1. Hi Debra, thanks for stopping by and leaving your feedback on these cookies. It’s unfortunate your results weren’t delish :(
I have some ideas why this maybe didn’t come together so well… Number one thing I found odd from your results was the oily-ness. I’ve never had that happen. All I can think of, is that maybe your Nutella wasn’t well mixed and therefore, too much of the oil got into the batter. Every time I use my Nutella (especially a new jug), I stir it well so the oils are distributed.
I have added a pinch of salt before as well, and they’re good. But not enough to make a difference in my opinion. I do think the lack of flavor may also have been the excess oil in your batter.
If you make them again, or add anything else to them, please let me know how you like them. Once again, thanks for stopping by! :)

    2. I totally agree. Nutella is my favourite go-to snack … since I was a young girl I would eat Nutella with the spoon forget the bread so is really expecting to be amazed by these cookies. I’m not sure if I overworked the dough or made it sit too long before making the cookies but all I had was oil from the Nutella. I ended up making smaller portions and increasing the cooking time because the cookies were raw inside. Extremely disappointed with the outcome please let me know what I’ve done wrong:
Was I supposed to mix by hand or with a mixer, should I have melted the Nutella?? I would love to try it again

      1. Hi Rosie, sorry to hear that :( Could it have been that you didn’t stir the Nutella before scooping it out of the jar? I’ve noticed that Nutella jars are usually full of oil at the top, whether you’re just opening it, or it’s been sitting in your pantry for a bit. That could have contributed to way too much oil in your cookies. Let me know! I’ve always mixed by hand. Maybe our ovens are a bit different as well. Mine heat up very strongly so I require less cooking time. My mom’s oven is older so sometimes I’ve had to bake things longer there.
Hope the next ones turn out better!

I have some really big nutella fans in my house, so these are going to be a hit! I love how quickly some of your recipes come together, they fit with my busy lifestyle.

So I made these over Valentines and I wanted to come back a rate the recipe because it was sooooo good thanks so much for sharing! It will be a staple.

    1. Ah, I’m so glad to hear that, Jen! Thank you for coming back to rate the recipe and let me know. I really appreciate it :)

  9. Sounds good! (and looks good too) Do you think they would work if I use flax egg? Or do you have any other vegan substitute recommendation for the egg? Thanks! xx

  10. That looks so yummy! Now that I’m stuck at home, I’ve really gotten into baking. I’ll try these out today!

  11. Laura Jafarkhani

These look delicious and easy! My kids have recently discovered how amazing Nutella is so they would totally love these also!

  12. Yum … nutella and cookies in the same sentence. I’ll be doing some backing this weekend. Thank you for the inspo.

  13. I’m so excited to make these with my toddler! He loves baking but requires simple recipes so that we can see it through to the end!

  14. I added instant espresso for a darker chocolate flavor and served them with affogato for an after dinner dessert. I’m going to add flake salt to the top the next time and I think they will be even more perfect!!

  15. Have made this recipe several times now and they are so good. I have added 3/4 cup of Reeses peanut butter chips and OMG this is the best way to make them. Try it they don’t last long in our house .

  16. 5 stars
These turned out amazing! My daughter has Asperger Syndrome and I wanted a simple recipe she could follow on her own since she loves to bake so much. This was a hit and she had so much fun rolling the dough and sprinkling with powdered sugar! We will definitely do it again!

  17. these sound like they would be delicious. I have a Nutella-loving grandson who will love these. Think I will chop and roast some hazelnuts and add them, along with some chocolate chips, too. I’ll let you know my results!

  18. …….and if it helps, based on the other comments, I sifted my flour and then measured it plus I didn’t have extra lg eggs so I used 1 lg and 1 small. Without even adding any extras they are perfect.
