Total Time 25 minutes mins
- 2 tart apples peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp heavy cream room temperature
- 1/4 cup pecans roughly chopped
- 8 oz brie wheel
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Then add in the apples and cook until softened, about 5 minutes, stirring often.
Add in the brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Turn the heat up to medium and let it come to a simmer for 4-5 min while stirring often. Slowly stir in the heavy cream and then remove from heat and stir in the pecans. Let it sit for 5-10 min to thicken the sauce as it cools.
Place your brie in a baking dish and then top with the apple mixture. Bake for 20-30 min or until the brie is bubbly and.softened (use a knife to test it).
Serve with baguette slices and crackers and enjoy!
