Total Time 25 minutes mins
- 1/2 cup butter unsalted
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup eggnog
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Whisk the dry ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Beat cream cheese and butter together for 2-3 minutes. Add sugar and cream again. Finally add the egg, eggnog and vanilla and beat until combined.
Add in the dry ingredients in two batches, stirring between each. Chill dough for 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll the dough into 2 inch balls and then roll in powdered sugar.
Set on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and smack the pan on the counter a few times to create those classic “crinkles.”
Bake for another 3-4 minutes or until the bottoms are golden. Let them cool on the pan for 5-10 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
