Eggnog Crinkle Cookies

A thick, chewy, crinkly cookie that tastes like Christmas!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup eggnog
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Whisk the dry ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter together for 2-3 minutes. Add sugar and cream again. Finally add the egg, eggnog and vanilla and beat until combined.
  • Add in the dry ingredients in two batches, stirring between each. Chill dough for 45 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Roll the dough into 2 inch balls and then roll in powdered sugar.
  • Set on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and smack the pan on the counter a few times to create those classic “crinkles.”
  • Bake for another 3-4 minutes or until the bottoms are golden. Let them cool on the pan for 5-10 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
