This 10 Minute Creamy Chicken Pasta saves me more than I’d like to admit!
Seriously though, it’s on our meal rotation often because it’s easy to throw together, can be made ahead and comes together in 10 minutes!
Not to mention, it’s one of my kids’ favorite meals. When there’s something they both love, you know it’s on the menu often!
I’ve been asked if this is like Alfredo pasta. And although it is a white sauce, it’s nothing like Alfredo- it’s even better!
If you love Italian spices, creamy and white sauces, you will love this one!
What You’ll Need:
- Chicken
- Onion
- Olive Oil
- Pasta
- Chicken Broth
- Butter
- Cream Cheese
- Parmesan
- Seasonings
The only equipment you’ll need is an Instant Pot (or another similar electric pressure cooker).
Can I make this on the Stovetop?
It would take longer, but yes you can!
You would sauté the chicken and onion in olive oil and then add the chicken broth and pasta. Let that cook until the noodles are soft. Drain and save the pasta water.
Add in 1/2 cup pasta water, cream cheese and butter followed by the Parmesan. If your pasta seems too dry, add in more pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
Can I Make this Ahead of time?
You can totally make this in the morning and leave it warm in the Instant Pot until you are ready to enjoy.
That’s actually one of my favorite ways to enjoy this dish, as the sauce gets thicker the longer it sits. YUM!
