Why You’ll Love this Recipe

This dip has everything a fall dessert should:

  • sweetness from the sweet cream cheese base topped with caramel
  • crunchy peanut topping (or almonds, or M&M’s…the options are endless!)
  • juicy tart apples for dipping
  • or crunchy sweet graham crackers

You will need:

  • cream cheese: one block of creamy will do
  • sugar: you can use brown or white
  • caramel sauce: a jar of Smucker’s is delicious in this!
  • peanuts: buy them pre chopped or do it at home if you’d like a coarse chop through
  • apples: I prefer a tart apple like Granny Smith
  • graham crackers: for those who prefer to use a graham cracker as a cheesecake crust!

Instructions:

this one is oh so simple! You won’t even need to jot this down!

  1. combine the softened cream cheese and sugar. Spread into the bottom of a glass dish.

2. top with caramel sauce

3. Add chopped peanuts over the top

4. Chill for 30-60 minutes before serving (or just make it overnight!)

4. Serve with sliced apples, graham crackers or maybe even pretzels or vanilla wafers.

Seriously, that’s it! I told you it was easy :)

Tips, Substitutions and Variations:

If you like the salty topping, make it a salted caramel cheesecake dip! Simply sprinkle a little flaky sea salt over the caramel layer (keep in mind not to over salt it if your peanuts are also salted!).

If you don’t love cream cheese, omit the cream cheese and sugar mixture. Add cool whip as the base layer. It’s very fluffy and still delish!

If you want to make it ahead of time, definitely do so! It keeps so well in the fridge. I just suggest cutting the apples closer to eating time so they don’t brown while you wait to serve.

If you don’t love peanuts, feel free to omit and substutte with any other crunchy topping. You could do:

  • almonds
  • pistachios
  • toffee bits
  • mini chocolate chips
  • mini m&m’s
  • peanut butter chips

the options are endless for toppings. Add one or mix and match. It’s delish however you top it :)

Every Fall gathering needs a Caramel Apple Cheesecake Dip

Seriously this is perfect as a housewarming gift, football season snack, Thanksgiving appetizer and more. It’s going to be the perfect addition all season long!
