A simple, 6 ingredient cream cheese danish that’s as easy as can be!
Toasty edges with buttery flaky center, topped with cinnamon sugar. Filled with sweet cream cheese. This one is so dang perfect for brunch!
You can make it ahead, and warm it up right before enjoying or serve at room temperature. It’s so good either way!
I think my favorite part is how quickly and easily it comes together! Just a few ingredients, layer them, bake and you’re good to go.
So let’s make this danish!
What you’ll need:
- Crescent rolls: preferably the sheets, but if you only have the perforated ones that’s fine! just seal the perforations once you roll it out.
- Cream cheese: full fat is best but again, use what you have!
- Sugar
- Vanilla
- Butter: unsalted preferably
- cinnamon
Directions:
Grease a 9x13inch baking dish and unroll one sheet of crescent rolls onto the bottom. Press the seams if you have any and make sure to stretch it so it covers the bottom.
In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Spread over the crescent rolls.
Now top with another sheet of crescent rolls and again, make sure to press the seams together and stretch it to cover the filling.
In another bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar and cinnamon and then spread over the crescent roll.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 min until golden and toasty. Let it sit for a few min and enjoy!
Can I make this in advance?
My favorite way to enjoy this is about 30 min out of the oven!
But the best part about this treat is that you can make it the day before, let it sit overnight and then just pop back in the oven for 10 min before serving and it’s absolutely delicious.
I’ll be honest with you though, it’s just as good at room temperature. Easy peasy!
Do I need crescent sheets?
Those are easier to work with because they don’t have perforations. But the regular kind work just as well. Don’t tear the triangles and just press the seams together.
